Witness the unveiling…..on September 6th, Out in UL , as a part of the Limerick Pride celebrations, will be revealing a mural which celebrates love and diversity in Limerick City. The main event starts at 2 p.m. in Bentley’s, with the mural being revealed on the Post Office Lane later on. We’ll have a barbecue, with a DJ and special guests ‘til 7 p.m. The perfect chill-out session to end the summer. And best of all, it’s absolutely FREE!
Come 6 o’ clock, we’ll be speeding away to City East Business Park to the Roller Derby where we’ll be skating along to disco classics. Tickets €10 available at 31 Thomas Street and UL Students’ Union. This is the ultimate skating experience; with a supersized skating floor, you can show your pride and your inner disco diva all at the same time. Get your disco on, boogie with PRIDE!

We have a meeting this Thursday at 7 in D1049. We’ll be letting you know about the series of coming out workshops run by Ger Hanly that are strating on Monday 4th April. This will be followed by a chat forum in the meditation room, just a quiet space where you can relax and talk amongst friends. We’ll also be letting you know about our AGM which will be held NEXT WEEK. There are plenty of ways you can get involved in the Out in UL committee, so why not run for a position?? We also have our workshop series Sparkles coming up soon so we’ll be giving you the low down on that, and seeing if you have any ideas. There’s also loads to discuss with about next semester so come along and we’ll have drinks after!
Queers Go Gothic
It’s here, this Friday 25th of March, QueerBash 8 – Queers Go Gothic. It will be an evening of great performances from the amazing Fadá and Eileen O’ Brien, Miss Gay Ireland Tasha Clyde, Miss Alternative Ireland Best Stunt winner Candy Warhol, UL’s own Dance UL, Drama Society and The fantastic RTS (Return To Sender) with DJ Jeff back on the decks. And to Top it all off we have our hostess’s Sheila Fitz and Madonna Lucia to keep you going through out the night with their amazing personalities and amazing talent. Not to be missed and all for only €10.
The next meeting of the society members will take place on Wednesday the 23rd of Feb at 7pm in the PSA (PostGrad) Room in the Stables courtyard. After our meeting we will be moving quickly across the SU courtyard to Scholars for some light refreshments and a get to know each other evening. Hope you all can make it.
